Bank Credit Dnipro has joined the Ukraine Business Compact (UBC) initiative, which brings together companies from around the world to support the sustainable recovery of Ukraine, which has suffered significant losses as a result of the full-scale Russian invasion.

The goal of the Ukraine Business Compact is to promote a strong partnership between international business, the Ukrainian government and the Ukrainian private sector:
  • Invest in business opportunities in Ukraine and, where possible, participate in the reconstruction through direct financial contributions or investments in Ukrainian enterprises; and/or
  • Work with companies based in Ukraine, using the country’s current and future potential through trade, exchange of experience and partnerships; and/or
  • Support the overall development and economic growth of Ukraine in accordance with business objectives.

Bank Credit Dnipro continues to integrate sustainable development principles and ESG standards into all aspects of its operations, guided by 4 core principles aimed at the long-term sustainable economic recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine:
  • Investing and operating on the basis of sustainable development, contributing to a green transition and inclusive growth in accordance with international corporate practices;
  • Responsible business conduct in accordance with international standards, including compliance with the law, support and respect for human rights, ensuring equality and inclusivity, and combating corruption;
  • Introducing best corporate governance practices and sharing experience between UBC signatories and Ukrainian companies for joint development;
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations on sanctions.

The Ukraine Business Compact was officially launched by the Government of Ukraine and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in London in 2023. The UBC platform is currently hosted by the UN Global Compact in Ukraine in partnership with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. Over 730 companies from 51 countries and 21 major sectors have joined the initiative, reaffirming their commitment to Ukraine’s recovery.
