Credit Dnipro Bank is included in the list of 20 banks that in the 1st quarter of 2021 may become participants in the NBU's foreign exchange intervention at the best rate.
According to the requirements of the NBU, only 20 banks can participate in foreign exchange intervention, which according to the results of the previous quarter received the best overall rating among banks participating in the interbank market. In turn, the overall rating is calculated on the basis of the following criteria: the volume of the bank's transactions for the purchase and sale of foreign currency with other market participants and the National Bank (the share of such a criterion in the rating - 50%); the volume of the bank's transactions with customers in the purchase and sale of non-cash foreign currency (share in the rating - 30%); the volume of the bank's assets (the share of the criterion in the rating - 20%).
"The growth in the number of transactions with external clients, the increase in arbitrage transactions in the market, as well as the intensification of the bank's derivatives market allowed us to enter the TOP-20 banks in the foreign exchange market," said Oksana Shveda, Deputy Chairman of the Treasury Bank Credit Dnipro.
Currency interventions of the NBU are carried out by the regulator asking banks for the price of buying / selling foreign currency through the trade information system. After receiving all offers, the National Bank enters into an agreement with the bank that offers the best price.
