Kyiv, Ukraine, January 25, 2021 - Credit Dnepr Bank provided its customers, Mastercard cardholders, with the ability to contactlessly pay for purchases using Mi Smart Band 4 NFC, a modification of the popular fitness bracelet with a contactless payment function. The innovative product is a joint development of global technology companies Xiaomi and Mastercard, and is available exclusively for cardholders of this payment system. The launch of the product took place in partnership with one of the largest marketplaces in Ukraine, ALLO.
Mi Smart Band 4 NFC has retained all the advantages of the regular Mi Smart Band 4, which are so loved by users around the world: a color OLED display, a record autonomy, a case with water resistance up to 5 ATM, support for swimming tracking and music player control. And now they are joined by an NFC chip, which allows you to pay for purchases using Mastercard contactless payment technology.
To set up contactless payment, you need to install the proprietary Mi Fit application on your smartphone and add a bank payment card in the appropriate tab (you can link up to 6 cards). To make a payment on the Mi Smart Band 4 NFC bracelet, you need to go to the "Cards" menu, select one of the added payment cards and bring the device to the payment terminal.
Wristband payments are protected by Mastercard tokenization technology, which replaces the card number with a 16-digit token. The card data is stored in a highly secure NFC chip developed by NXP. Unauthorized access to this information is impossible, and in case of loss of the bracelet, Xiaomi has provided a number of protective measures that will protect the user's payment data from unwanted access.
