On January 14, 2021, Bank Credit Dnipro launches the 3D Secure 2.0 service for Mastercard cards, which is designed as an additional level of security for card transactions on the Internet. To confirm the purchase, special OTP passwords will be used, which will be sent to the customer's phone. Thus, after entering the Mastercard card data, the online store will redirect the client's browser to the Credit Dnipro Bank website to enter this personal OTP password.
3D Secure 2.0 technology will be connected automatically for all Mastercard cards of Credit Dnipro Bank.
It will be recalled that in early December 2020, the 3D Secure 2.0 service became available to bank customers who use Visa cards.
3D Secure is a security protocol designed to prevent fraudulent use of bank cards by verifying the authenticity of cardholders in transactions made online.
