How to Connect Garmin Pay

Install the Garmin Connect * application on your smartphone

How safe is contactless payment for goods and services with Garmin Pay?
A token is used for each purchase instead of the real card number, your bank card data is securely encrypted. Additionally, once a day, if the watch was removed from your hand, you must enter the password before payment.
How much does it cost to connect to Garmin Pay?
Garmin Pay connection is free. Only the card itself (regular commissions for issuance, maintenance, etc.) is paid, in accordance with the Bank's tariffs. No additional fees for the token, as well as transactions on it - are applied.
Which phones can I install Garmin Connect on and sync my watch to?

How often do I need to enter a payment password?
Once a day or if the watch has been removed from the hand / heart rate monitor is off.
What PIN code is required when paying for purchases?
When paying for goods and services by the hour, the Garmin Pay password is requested. The PIN code of the payment card can be requested by the terminal of the point of sale.
How many times can I enter the wrong password on my watch before my Garmin Pay wallet is locked?
There may be three incorrect attempts, then the wallet will be locked, then you will need to reset the password through the Garmin Connect application.
What if I forgot my payment password?
In this case, you need to remove the wallet through the Garmin Connect application, create a new one and reload the cards in it.
What will happen to the token when the card is reissued?
The token will be deleted. You need to issue a new token to the reissued card.

Garmin Pay data is password protected on the watch. However, we recommend that you pre-block tokens in Garmin Pay.

Does Garmin Pay have access to a bank account?
No, Garmin Pay does not have access to card data or card bank account. Garmin Pay does not know the balance on the card.
What should I do if Garmin Pay fails to connect to the payment terminal?
If your Garmin Pay device fails to connect to the payment terminal to initiate a payment, try the following troubleshooting steps:

if you just added a card, wait 5-10 minutes. Each time you add a new card, it must be activated by the payment card network and the card issuer. Activation may take 5-10 minutes.

hold the device in front of the terminal in another way, place the device on the payment terminal so that the NFC antenna can establish a connection.
